Modern Drug Weekly of Taiwan provides overseas mandarin practitioners an important and latest TCM source, and it is also the only national weekly professional Traditional Chinese medicine in Taiwan for practitioners. The print has been published without interruption since 1965 and the founder is the Father of Scientific Chinese Herbal Medicine, Dr. Hong-Yen Hsu.
Its mission is to lead the debate on health issues such as TCM approaches to cancer, and to engage, inform, and stimulate doctors, researchers, and other health professionals in ways that will improve outcomes for patients. It aims to help practitioners to make better diagnosis. The Modern Drug Weekly of Taiwan is based mainly in Taiwan; although it also has 30% lead TCM practitioners in Taiwan and some in China contribute to it.
The Modern Drug Weekly of Taiwans vision is to be the mandarin worlds most influential and widely read medical weekly by updating daily TCM latest research, clinical cases study, industry news, education, new books and reviews as well as comment articles.
The weekly circulation totals about 5,000 copies, of which 2,500 are distributed to national TCM hospitals and clinics. Modern Drug Weekly of Taiwan is distributed in regions around the world. The readers include TCM students, practitioners, natural therapists, acupuncturists, researchers, academic institutions, teaching hospitals (China Medical University) and political bodies.
