Sun Ten Contributes to HALAL Product Development

in Malaysia and Singapore

 


Taiwanese HALAL certificated supplement supplier, Sun Ten presented at 2012 HALAL product exhibition, which was organized by Taiwan HALAL Integrity Development Association (THIDA) on May 22 in Taipei, Taiwan.

 

During the opening, Mr. Chang, Chih-Ming, the president of THIDA, discusses strategies that can be developed to provide suppliers the platform to exchange ideas and demonstrate HALAL products around the world. The quality assurance standards are implements by the independent third-party. This helps HALAL consumers augment their personal hygiene and health standards generally.

 

Mr. Mohammad Ali bin Selamat, the director of Economics, Malaysian Friendship and Trade Center, Taipei which is belong to Ministry of Foreign affairs, Malaysia, also attended this event to emphasize the importance of HALAL products. When he saw Sun Ten product, Red Yeast Rice, he learned how it has been popular since it was launched in Malaysia in 2006. Cholesterol-control medicine is used among one of the top10 medications in Malaysia, according to National Medicines Use Survey. Red yeast rice contains Monacolin K, a natural form of Lovastatin, which is helpful in lowering the cholesterol. Daily supplement containing red yeast rice reduces total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and total triacylglycerol, according to data from a human trial, written in American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

Over the years, Sun Ten has produced more than 350 HALAL products in Traditional Chinese medicine, supplement capsule series, tonic series. They are mainly exported to Islamic countries in Southeast Asia.
