Dao Di Herbs Can Assure Quality, Safety and Clinical Proven Efficacy
Now counterfeit or bad quality Chinese medicine in the market jeopardizes the reputation of herb authenticity. Dr. Wu-Chang Chuang, an expert of Chinese herbal medicine from Taiwan, was invited to deliver the speech on Dao Di Herbs and Modernization Chinese Medicine for Traditional Chinese medicine community at TCM Congress Rothenburg in German on 20 May, 2012.
Dao Di herb has been defined as premium herb for being produced in specific geographic regions with particular attention to cultivation and processing techniques since Tang Dynasty (618 - 907 C.E.) for long history, such as Bai Shao (Bai Shao/White Peony of Bozhou), Huai Di Huang (Di Huang/Rehmannia of ancient huaiqing, Henan), Ningxia Gou Qi (Gou Qi/Lycium Fruit of Ningxia).

Dr. Chung points out these factors affect the serious problems of authenticity, toxic elements, heavy metals, improper usage of additives and differentiate clinical outcomes.
Attendees from over 30 nations were impressed with the formation of authentic herb and saw the real raw herbs at his speech. Furthermore, he also highlighted quality challenges from sustainable supply of herbal medicine.
From a pharmacognostic perspective, herbal medical products have crucial implications for such product ought to be developed for quality assurance. On the other hand, the prices of Dao Di herbs continue to raise as more specialize cultivation and scientific assessments of quality control are used. he said.
