Indications

Traditional: The complex of shaoyang and yangming disorders marked by alternating fever and chills, fullness and discomfort in the chest and hypochondrium, vomiting, bitter taste in the mouth, irritability, focal distention or distending pain in the epigastrium, constipation or dysentery diarrhea, a thick and yellow tongue coating, and a wiry and forceful pulse.

Modern: Cholecystitis, acute pancreatitis, gallstones, dysentery, constipation, high fever, obesity, and hyperlipidemia.
